Bio

Who am I:
A 31-year-old Canadian tv/film composer who specializes in Rock, AD, Orchestral, and Horror music.

Where it all began:
Christmas morning when I was 12 years old. My prayers were answered when I came downstairs to a BIG BLUE SHINY drum set; it is one of my fondest memories. I instantly wanted to explore… Bang! Boom! Bing! But my mother insisted I take drum lessons, which today I am grateful for (I guess a mother really knows best haha). Growing up my parents had a beautiful grand piano in the living room, this was my first opportunity to explore and write. I only played the white keys. I thought it just sounded better that way. Proudly I can say, I taught myself C major before I knew what a key signature was haha. Then at 16 years old, my parents placed me in guitar lessons at R&B’s School of Music in Barrie Ontario. My guitar teacher Julian, to this day, I still think is the best guitar player I’ve ever met. Seeing in person his level of musicality, blew my mind. Anything I played, he harmonized with ease. His influence still inspires me today. Years later on November 23, 2016, I took a big step in my composer journey by downloading my first Digital Audio Workshop, and the rest is history.

Why I do it:
Composing will always be my one passion. The work I put into all my tracks is liberating, a way to express myself. I love composing for tv and film because it brings a great challenge and develops my abilities further, it is an opportunity I am extremely excited about.

Artists that have inspired my sound:

Hans Zimmer, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig Van Beethoven, KYGO, Martin Garrix, Rob Zombie, Kayne West, M83, ODESZA and the Halloween theme song
